My name is Louis Redd. I am what you might call a skipped generation artist. My Grandmother was an avid oil painter before her passing many years ago. While I was but 8 years old when she died in 1964, I do remember how much she loved to paint. Our home has many of her works. That inspiration led me to develop my own artistic ambitions in the seventies and eighties. As a stained glass artisan, I produced and sold hundreds of original works throughout Texas, the U.S. and Europe. However, health issues forced me into retiring from stained glass work in the early 90s. Still having that artistic itch, I turned myself to painting, fondly remembering my Grandmother's passion.  Having only the skill from stained glass design, I picked up the paint brush with the same passion. I have sold paintings to friends and relatives and have only recently begun to sell my original painted works on the web. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have in making them.
